Wrap up and outlook
|
Background and scope of the event:
As industry-based economies Korea and Germany face similar challenges when it comes to shaping their energy system’s future. Both countries aim to significantly reduce their carbon emissions by increasing energy efficiency and the usage of renewable energy while reducing the reliance on fossil fuels. Both countries also see green hydrogen as one pillar of their future energy system. This event will explore the opportunities and challenges of pursuing a net-zero energy system given the current state of global energy insecurity.
It provides a platform for energy experts from government, industry, research and civil society to exchange views and learn from each other’s experiences. The overall focus of the event is to showcase the existing technologies which can be utilized to the benefit of Korea and Germany’s carbon neutrality goals.
